In my experience - if you are going to say ‘farewell’ to every interviewer in the room it is always a little awkward and protracted.

Not that it means you can’t do it - but the goodbye is the final thing you will say to them - so will stick in memory.

If you’re going to do it:

  • Be confident
  • Look confident
  • Don’t stutter
  • Be quick

If you don’t you look:

  • Nervous
  • Embarrassed
  • Overblown/Try-hard

So my advice:

A ‘thank you for your time’ in general with a smile and sweep across all of them - perfect!
