How did Steve Jobs, this man who studied liberal arts, who never studied nor had any formal training in technology or engineering, become such a legendary visionary in technological innovation?

Creative ability in any area is about character and passion far more than it is about any technical ability.

To give you some examples:

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger was a 5-time Mr Olympia not because of the gold’s gym gloves he wore but because of his character, vision and inhuman dedication
  • Richard Branson built the legendary Virgin Brand in spite of his dyslexia, struggle with basic accounting, and due to his character, vision and inhuman determination
  • David Beckham became what many consider the world’s best free-kick or long ball specialist not because of his Adidas football boots but due to his, character, vision and inhuman determination

Do you see a pattern here? Those that become the world’s best are NEVER hampered by the practicalities of their art. They simply beat their way through.

I hope my answer has been of some use to you!
